Juan Carlos González, a English and self-taught computer has created a tool for mobile devices from Apple in order to communicate and help your child with autism. The application is available at the Apple store and can help other parents with children with the same problem.
The application is called 'Ablah' and has been awarded as the best implementation of 2010 in the contest The App Date. Darius, the son of Juan Carlos, three and a half years, has autism and was first used, is also the reason why his father has created this tool to help many families to communicate with their children.
Darius's father realized that traditional therapy based on stimulating with pictograms, drawings and paper cards, only half were effective. "Children look much more on a screen. So I thought it might work." After four months of work and the help of some friends computer, created Ablah, compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
The program is intuitive and simple as a game. By photo galleries and sounds helps curb behavior problems, anticipating what the child will be doing during the day: a picture of a swimming pool to go to a picture of a park to go play ...
